📅 ⏱ 3 min read

Cyprus has a strong international school sector. This guide covers the top private schools by curriculum, location and annual fees — everything expat families need to know before relocating.

Cyprus has become a top destination for expatriate families, partly because of its excellent international school network. British, American and IB curricula are all available, and English is the primary language of instruction in the private sector.

Pascal Educational Group

The largest private education organisation on the island, with campuses in Limassol, Nicosia and Larnaca. Offers the British National Curriculum from nursery through A-levels. Annual tuition: €8,000–€15,000 depending on year group.

The English School, Nicosia

One of the most prestigious institutions on the island — a state-subsidised school following the British curriculum. Highly selective: entrance exams are held in January for September enrolment. Demand far exceeds supply, so apply early.

American Academy Larnaca

Operating since 1908. Offers both American and British curricula. Fees: €7,500–€13,000/year. Accepts students from nursery through secondary.

European School Cyprus (Nicosia)

Follows the European Baccalaureate — the official EU system recognised across all member states. Ideal for EU civil servants and international families who may relocate again within the EU.

The Heritage Private School, Limassol

British curriculum with strong STEM focus. Fees: €10,000–€18,000/year. Modern facilities and small class sizes.
